Pros

Average benefits, bonus potential but they have made it very hard for that to happen.

Cons

The pay isn't great for the amount of work you have to put in. They have lost focus on promoting from with-in the company. They have a horrible training program. It is not in depth enough. Care of pets they sell needs to be a better priority.

Pros

Dogs, coworkers, managers are nice most of the time

Cons

Because of a budget for the grooming salon, very often there is no even essential stuff like toothbrushes, towels, paper towels, shampoos, plastic bags, but we are still required to sell teeth brushing service to the customers and we wandering the store trying to find the paper towels at the self cleaning stations, or begging a manager for a plastic garbage bag. Pushed to sell and upsell in the grooming salon, they have the metrics and does not matter which type of customers you have (not everyone can pay additional $22 for the add on every time). And what will be your attitude to a dog, if you know you will have a conversation with a manager regarding add ons you haven’t sold this time. Understaffed, high turnover, rebooking calls are very irritating for the customers and staff. Manual rebook for every client takes a lot of time

Pros

Get to interact with and care for a variety of animals, expand knowledge of these animals and their care, help educate customers on the animals and find one that fits their lifestyle and expectations of a pet.

Cons

Rampant nepotism/favoritism (a current manager for the position without even interviewing simply because he attends the same church as the manager of the store he transferred from and has been incompetent since Day One; no previous experience at all), money and making a sale are more important than the welfare of the animals, lack of comprehensive training or resources for learning about the animals and products (everything I learned I had to do on my own time), refusal to fire or reassign people who show no desire to be there, care for sick or injured animals is next to zilch (vet appointments are either never made or constantly pushed back or even canceled), trust in competent and caring employees is nonexistent, very little to no upward movement.
