Pros

•Mostly Autonomous while stocking or unloading trucks •Early Shifts •Interact with customers dogs/cats throughout shifts

Cons

•Drastically cut hours while demanding same workload •Store was constantly Understaffed, due to young employees either calling out on a regular basis, or people quitting due to lack of hours given or being harassed by management over (often) trivial things •Tech is all 10-20 years old and slow performance -No reasonable support from HQ (tech support or office support) -Store leader encouraged deceiving customers regarding sales/discounts into signing up for Treats Loyalty program to boost metrics

Pros

If you find value in connecting people and their pets with products that will benefit their quality of life, this is a good position for you. While the pet sale industry is difficult to stomach, taking care of the animals in front of you is rewarding. Seeing different animals every day is a nice change of pace.

Cons

Company is bleeding money and struggling to find ways to cut corners. Tried to remove employee discount recently and had to reinstate it due to outcry. Reducing each store's labor hours due to low sales is hindering each store's ability to fulfill daily tasks due to skeletal crews. If you have FMLA leave, your work position is not secure and you will likely have to transfer to a new location if you want to keep your insurance or full time income. Other stores will be unhelpful and disinterested in your acclimation to a new store. Break rooms have broken chairs that are a clear safety hazard. We are not allowed to tell unruly dogs and their owners to leave if they are causing a scene, unless it is extreme. Customers are irate at the registers due to prices or prescription cards due to inconsistency and incompetence of leaders following policies or updating price tags.

Pros

Incredibly light work load due to nothing going on

Cons

No leadership No vision Officers mad and disengaged because they did not get their payout for going public - They don't come to work and do nothing. Culture would be great, but morale has been crushed and no one cares.
