Pros

Phone calls are easy and no stress. Pet Parents are always in a good mood and fun to talk to. Time goes by really fast and calls are back to back.

Cons

Upper management never bothers to come out on the floor, they hide in their office and act like you are beneath them. Supervisors are inexperienced and you don't have any interaction with them unless you've done something "wrong". One on one's don't happen, you get an email with your stats and errors. Hours aren't the same from week to week so you can't depend on a salary.

Pros

State of the art facilities, recent upgrades in WMS systems. Excellent mentoring and professional development opportunities for every level of associate. Expectations are clear and all of the support one could ask for is provided. If you are a worker, this is a great environment for you to succeed. Slackers are quickly weeded out, and that is a good thing. Good pay, EXCELLENT benefits. One of the best cultures I have ever worked in.

Cons

A little too numbers driven. Though quota's are realistic, I would like to see more emphasis or flexibility given to personal matters. Rules are rules, and while they are very fair, there are some occasions where a little more flexibility could be utilized. However, if one is of the mind to show up for work and not abuse PTO, there are really no major concerns for hard working associates.

Pros

-get to see and interact with lots of different kinds of animals -shared interest with coworkers -shared interest with customers -not much to memorize

Cons

-unreasonably low pay with minimal, practically non-existent raises even for employees who've worked there for 4 years -cashiers are often spoken down to by other roles -expected to stand without breaks for several hours at a time or even the whole shift -when business is slow, cashiers are often not given anything to do and are expected to stand idle even when the store is empty -on weekdays, often only one cashier is scheduled to be completely alone at the front of the store, including new hires -when more than one cashier is scheduled, managers prohibit you from talking to one another -must radio someone to ask for permission to use the bathroom -often have to clean up after customers' pets -bathroom is on the opposite side of the store so frequent hand washing is impossible -cashiers are confined to one section of the store, so giving isle numbers and directions to customers is difficult -stores are often understaffed to the point where there are only two employees in the whole location
