Great long term job

Pros

As a pet bather, I had the opportunity within months to advance my career as a pet stylist. I was trained and set up for success. It was great meeting all the pets and the clients were overall amazing and really would go out of their way for you by requesting you. Some of them even begin to treat you like family!!

Cons

No real downsides to working here. Sometimes the dogs are aggressive and we have to turn them away. And every once in awhile there are the rude customers you have to deal with. If you don't like getting dirty, this job is not for you!

Easy and Fun Job at Entry Level Positions

Pros

I loved my time working in associate positions. If you work hard and have a good attitude you can protect yourself from inadequate management because of the very strong internal control/HR initiatives. Pay is decent, and there are multiple opportunities within the first year for performance-based raises. Ability to cross-train to different departments will give you variety and increased potential for hours. The people you work with can be a toss-up but most are college-aged.

Cons

Moving into leadership team can be highly political, but it's a high-stress position and only worthwhile if you are incredibly motivated, self-sufficient, and a quick learner. The corporate changes have put near-unobtainable expectations on store-level management (cut hours, shrunken budgets, increased customer drivers), and several new initiatives to increase CL were very straining and pulled each leader in several different directions.

Pros

The dogs are literally the only good thing about this job.

Cons

Unprofessionalism, bad management, the bathers are treated like servants. The wage is completely unlivable unless they like you enough to give you more hours.
