Pretty good place to work

Pros

They do not expect you to put in tons of overtime. Everyone is nice, not a cutthroat atmosphere. Recently started allowing flextime schedules. Recently removed the requirement to wear a tie. There have been recent attempts to gather and use employee feedback in general. There is a ton of pride taken in the product throughout the organization.

Cons

Pay is probably not what would be considered "competitive". Slow to accept new changes. A lot of bureaucracy in the engineering process, more time spent filling out forms than anything resembling engineering. Also, weird obsession with "the chairman". They literally have a team of engineers go through the building to adjust the blinds to exactly 45 degrees (yes, it's measured) whenever he comes in.

Pros

They provide a lot of opportunities for professional development and have a lot of avenues for advancement. And management is pretty transparent and shares meaningful information to its employees.

Cons

Some large projects are driven by the "captain's" directive instead of market demand and good engineering judgement. The work environment and corporate nature are a bit too conservative, which is strange for corporation based out of Seattle... Don't really encourage thinking/designing outside the box.

Pros

The only pro is the pay and it doesn’t make up for the rest, in my opinion.

Cons

Management is terrible. They don’t care about employees wellbeing, just numbers. There’s no advocate for employees; team leads just suck up to the managers and the managers barely show face but when they do, they come around barking orders. They reward hard work with more hard work.
