Pros

You gain experience to be able to move on to better things. It’s “kush” in that no one tracks you or your work so you’re independent. If you like experience there will be opportunities for you to get different work. You can work directly with attorneys and listen to their out of court thoughts.

Cons

You work downtown so you will idle in traffic during extended unnecessary commutes, expected to pay for your own parking, you have to walk upwards of a mile to the building passing homeless schizophrenic men who scare the life out of you, you will be accosted by teenagers asking for “a dollar” any time you leave the building, then one or two elevators are always broken so you wait 10 minutes on the ground floor only to end up late DESPITE getting there 5 minutes early therefore you must make up the time. You can’t change your schedule for 6 months (unless of course you lie and say your a student), you can’t work remotely until you’ve been there 6 months and even then they only want you working from home one day a week. The building is OLD and doesn’t have facilities that work (ie bathrooms flood, water fountains don’t work, there’s only 1 break room the size of a closet). Oh you gotta pay for your own water if you don’t want to use a water fountain (which again is broken half the time). It’s a clock in/clock out system that is by the minute so if you miss anything you need at adhere to an outdated system of finding your management (who is probably on another floor) and physically signing off on your time card. The building is awfully small and you will get sick every other week due to coworkers. When it is time to leave, regardless of when you clock out you will wait 10-15 minutes for an elevator and then idle in a parking garage waiting to idle in downtown traffic.
