      Pros

      Used to be a good company until change in leadership in the Hunt Valley, Maryland office. Used to be a good place to work many years back.

      Cons

      Current management and high-level executives overseeing this division are very inept and shady. No loyalty to long-term employees. Firing great employees and keeping those willing to work for low pay. Favoritism is out of control. Inconsistent rules and practices. High turnover, low morale. Would never recommend this office to someone looking to establish a legitimate career.

      The salary and flexible schedule

      Cons

      There are several, but this was the main issue for me: -Lack of understanding and value for the training function: This company does not value talent development initiatives, nor do they care about the quality of the learning that is produced. You will be directed to view a YouTube training video before they spend time and effort on obtaining quality training for their employees. Their hand has to be forced, literally, before they pay for developing their employees. The culture encourages mis-communication and disrespect. Overall, this company is much like a circus - they put on a great show for the customers, but behind the scenes, the performers are constantly scrambling to do what they know they should have done before the show. If you work here, you will see that the ringmaster is to blame.

      Pros

      I was a long time employee and generally speaking enjoyed my career with Pinkerton. I was in office management and was somewhat reasonably compensated for my efforts over time. The executive management team took Pinkerton to the digital era and was well executed.

      Cons

      The executive management team and their lack of honesty, integrity and ethics drew me away from Pinkerton. Plus too much office gossiping and political posturing at the time.
