      Pros

      There are pockets of excellence within Piper. If you can push yourself, the support can be found for you to grow and get promoted -- keep in mind you may have to move around to do so, and that's ok. Piper is striving to improve and there is a lot of opportunity with a lot of good things coming down the pipe for the future. Family-like atmosphere from all levels.

      Cons

      Some departments have stagnation and operate as silos. It's easy to get bogged down and discouraged with the culture. The culture is slowly changing for the better, but it is a slow process. Lots of folks let the negativity and woe-is-me attitudes get to them without looking in the mirror for improvements first. They're usually the first to jump ship or take themselves out, all for the better.

      Good Place and Awesome People

      Pros

      Competitive salaries. Employee Bonus of $1,000.00 with another this year if we reach our schedule. A week + off for the Christmas Holidays. Medical Insurance hikes were absorbed by the company the last two years. Simon Caldecott personally inviting employees with guest to the 80 anniversary of Piper with Dinner and a guest appearance by Jake Owens. Paid days off when the hurricanes hit Vero, never done before. Any many more....

      Cons

      Too much overtime, however that is being addressed.

      Awesome Place to Work

      Pros

      Piper is one of the best places I have ever worked. The company really cares about its employees. Last year, the company gave a spot bonus to EVERY employee of $1,000 and brought in Jake Owen to perform at our company's 80th birthday employee celebration! This year they instituted another COMPANYWIDE bonus plan worth even more! This is in addition to competitive salaries, advancement opportunities and the company holding our medical insurance contributions flat for the last two years! The company also sponsored a shuttle flight for Piper family members out of Puerto Rico after the hurricane! I have no idea where some of the negative reviews are coming from (maybe competitors masquerading as former employees) but they couldn't be further from the truth.

      Cons

      The company just needs to keep doing what they're doing (and maybe lighten up on the overtime).
