I have been downsized twice. In 2001 after 2 years, and 2009 after 4 years. Training in the plant is extremely poor. You have to be in the clique to receive any performance enabling training. The reason for the poor training seems to stem from the fact that Piper downsizes every 5 years on average. Your co-workers would rather point fingers to secure their place at the table come downsizing time. All this fits in line with the fact that Piper is the largest employer in Vero Beach, Florida. Management's general attitude is "your lucky just to have this job."

Too much nepotism. Lack of training offered to the employees. Performance reveiws if you were lucky enough to get one was one sided, no two-way communication with management or periodic reveiws with feedback. Very fustrating place to work for and don't expect a raise even when the economy is good.
