Pros

The company has been smart in its approach to the product's UI & clients are often pretty blown away when you show it to them. Also an uncommon focus on making long term commitments to improving & adding data. As mentioned before the office location & quality of people on the team is pretty exceptional. If you can ramp up on the industry & what is in its true essence a data product (read: there are some nuances) the opportunity to grow both personally & professionally are enormous.

Cons

If you don't have a more than professional interest in the PE/VC markets the learning curve can be pretty rough. Really need some passion for the space to do well. Not the best place if you have trouble staying focused or don't have the ability to really prioritize your day. As with many other high-growth firms team members are often asked to take on a lot of responsibility early.

Pros

Truly great people to work with, across all departments co-workers are friendly, fun, helpful, and want you to be successful. Customers do like the product quite a bit, it looks better than the competition.

Cons

Arrogance and greed are at the core of this company. All the reviews talk about Sr Management but it's really only one guy and it's the owner. High turnover, people quit routinely when they get fed up with the environment but people are fired just as often. Other employees are left to wonder why they were fired and the owner never addresses it, leading to a very hectic and uncomfortable work environment. Total micromanagement, owner doesn't trust anybody, reads emails, monitors web activity. Although the product is good, because it's a niche product, sales people are almost begging customers to buy the product and the sales cycle is very long. Very little incentive or motivation to do well outside of your own drive to do a good job. I don't regret working there, but wish I knew how it was going to be going in. I wouldn't have taken the job.

Pros

Great product, great location and good team members. It is great when you sell a product that makes people say WOW!

Cons

Micros Managing is the theme at this company. Owner thinks the product sells itself and there is no need for sales skills... therefore even the #1 sales person gets zero respect, because they are simply reaping the rewards of his great creation. Every move is watched, there are even web cams up to record every move, not to mention CEO reads your emails, listens to your calls & voicemail and watches web chats. All employees will talk highly of product and exact opposite of founder/ceo
