      Pitchbook not good for sales people

      Pros

      I made several friends while at pitchbook. Unfortunately I saw many good people come and go even over my short time with pitchbook.

      Cons

      The CEO has a genuine dislike of sales people. Do yourself a favor and do a lot of dilligence before accepting an offer to work in sales at pitchbook. It may save you several months of your career that you will never be able to get back.

      PitchBook is growing and getting better

      Pros

      Office-fantastic view and location Start-up culture (less corporate bs) Good people-smart hard working and motivated peers Fun parties-good times! Great product-the product is very good and looks better than the competitors'

      Cons

      Micro-management (although this is getting better), there have been times where so much is done that it stifles the employees work.

      Pros

      Co-workers were fun and it is in a cool part of town. Unfortunately the good ambitious competent typically don't last too long.

      Cons

      I found it to be a horrendous work environment: a) Internet access is restricted and monitored; b) phone calls are logged by computer and become part of your review; c) management's representations as to compensation were misleading; d) high turnover. Before you commit to a job with them contact former and current employsse via LinkedIn, but remember current employees have email and Internet traffic monitored. The one positive comment was likely written by management. He knows little about management (and nothing about leadership) so he communicates in cliches like "bring your 'A' game" and "take it to the next level"
