Pros

-Opportunity to learn about an interesting industry -If you're under 30, plenty of same-aged colleagues to socialize with -Decent benefits from Morningstar -Worked with some very talented people but few of them appreciated or rewarded -Tons of free booze, could drink at desk

Cons

-Pay is significantly under-market -Lots of shadiness, politics, and backstabbing -High turnover, the most talented people are constantly being poached or getting fed up -Promotes from within, but given that the best people always leave, some shockingly incompetent men at the director and VP level -Immaturity seems to be the primary criteria for sr. hires -No women in leadership except head of HR ( recently went through 3 in 18 months) -Little to no mentoring since very few employees over 35 -Complete inflexibility for those w families -CEO is totally checked out, rarely shows up

Pros

Good worklife balance Met some great people

Cons

Leadership is largely made up of a tight knit group that has been at PitchBook forever. While their loyalty to the company is clear, many have little experience outside of it, which often leads to a lack of fresh ideas and a disconnect from what employees actually need. It often feels like they operate in a bubble, making decisions without real insight or input. Many seem comfortable coasting in their roles, with little accountability and minimal contribution. There’s a noticeable sense of entitlement and protection among upper leadership, and it’s tough to challenge or change anything when they mostly listen to each other. There is a serious lack of diversity, which is unfortunately common in many fintech companies. Favoritism is real. If you’re not constantly networking up or playing the game, it’s hard to move forward. The culture can feel cliquey, and promotions often seem based more on who you know than performance. The company changed strategies multiple times while I was there, with little transparency around what was or wasn’t working. It often felt like leadership didn’t have a clear direction and was just trying various things to see what would stick. Toxic positivity is part of the culture and it’s not easy to voice concerns without being labeled negative. There’s a lot of groupthink and not enough space for honest conversations. Feedback is often asked for but rarely acted on, which makes it hard to feel like your voice matters.

Pros

High pay for little actual work.

Cons

Pitchbook is a classic example of is why women leave the tech field. I was really disappointed to hear about the company's responses and I have advised several prospective colleagues NOT to work here.

I am not sure what you are specifically referring to, but you raise some serious allegations about your coworkers that require investigation and intervention. I encourage you to reach out to me directly (Head of People) or any member of the executive team to discuss your feedback.
