Pros

Very relaxed employees and flexible work hours. Not results motivated or driven, lots of excuses and so long as you got a friend somewhere to carry you you can ride along.

Cons

Too many. The moto at PB is if you lack true knowledge try trial and error. The company is run by morons, who think that changing the strategy and focus of company should not impact financials. So they try to maintain the legacy business' P&L which leads to never ending restructuring. True test was when company bought a successful business and once it was integrated into PB the success diminished. Pitney bowes is very much an old company whose roots are still firmly connected to the civil issues that plaqued American history. From racisim, to cronyism to arrogant old management. It is not a company that attracts or retains talent, many young people run from the company as the tenured employees tend to chase anyone out. The "management" staff are very incompetent, HR turns a blind eye to everything. High intimidation and coercion environment, dysfunctional culture and psyche. I would not recommend anyone to this company.

Dying Company

Business Outlook

Pros

Very cool amenities, ARNP, chiropractor and a masseuse on staff sometimes.

Cons

Unable to utilize any of the cool amenities because of fear of losing your job. Has gone from focusing on customer service and revenue to only caring about the call metrics that a 3rd party came up with because apparently management couldn’t come up with a plan themselves. Micro management to the max, more worried about when I have to use the restroom and how many calls I’ve made than how much revenue I’ve brought in or why the business is dying. Upper management is out of touch, local management is a joke, the only motivational tools they use now are casual day “coupons” and FEAR of losing your job. Also local management apparently can approve vacation time and then take it away whenever they feel like it, seriously.. Terrible customer service, we literally have to decide what is more important, helping our clients or feeding our families because you can’t do both and still meet the newly required talk time and call metrics.

A Sinking Ship

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Pay is competitive Remote work Facility employees have a lot of perks

Cons

The ship is sinking. We’ve had 2 interim CEO’s in the last few months and many other C suite members have left just in the last 3 months. Multiple rounds of layoffs recently, letting high tenured employees go, and constant fear of not knowing if we’ll be sold or the unit will just be shut down. Employee morale is non-existent, leftover employees are having to absorb additional workload, and communication from management is lacking.
