Love Working Here

Pros

I’ve been here for more than a few years and can still say that it remains a place of challenge and adventure. Leadership’s ability to “think outside the box” and to take risks keeps it an interesting place to work. The culture here is diverse and with the varied backgrounds and ages – it all makes for a good mix and interaction.

Cons

We work in a bit of a "silo" environment - various departments are scattered throughout the building and we lose a sense of being connected. Management tries to remedy by having events throughout the year to bring everyone together. This helps but it would serve well for us all to be in one place!!!

We're so happy you love working here! We can understand the frustration being so spread out and we will continue to work on bringing everyone together as often as possible. Your input is very important to us and we really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

Pros

The company has a very relaxed, .com feel to it. No dress code, which is amazing. I love working with my coworkers. Everyone is very chill, easy to talk to, and loves what they are doing. Upper management is very approachable and friendly. The company offers a very generous employee discount, paid vacation time, paid sick time, floating holiday time, medical, dental, and vision. We offer paid training upon hiring. The company is fairly new, so there is always room for advancement in customer service, or to any other department in the company. The company has annual events such as company picnics, chili cook-off's, and Halloween costume parties to help "blend" the different departments within the company.

Cons

If you do not grasp on to the training material or knowledge of the products, management will not hesitate to terminate your employment. The company is very fast paced, so it is very important to be a quick learner, and able to adapt to change quickly. If you cannot; there's the door. Very strict attendance policy. No grace period for clocking in for your shift. If you're a minute late, YOU'RE LATE, and will be marked for it. No unpaid time off.

Pros

There are tons of pros to working at PlanetArt. For starters, the people are just happy. Management does a good job at identifying employee strengths so that each person gets to focus majorly on what they're good at. There is also a ton of diversity - a nice big melting pot of ages and cultures to keep things interesting and ideas flowing. There's a ton of potential for upward mobility, too. I've personally seen numerous people come in as temps or interns and end up being promoted to an area of interest that they are still enjoying years later. Lastly, it's very dynamic. This company is one that started as a software company and has transitioned with the times to include a great print-on-demand business, so they're always looking ahead to see how they can evolve and grow with the times.

Cons

Teams are a bit isolated but the company tries to bring them together with numerous events throughout the year. The fast pace does sometimes make for a full plate, but also ensures you're never bored or not being challenged.
