Pros

I perform at my best when I have autonomy to go solve problems in a way that drives value against the mission, vision and strategy of a company. Pluralsight's leadership team does an amazing job of articulating the mission, vision and strategy and then empowering the teams to go solve the hard problems. I'm convinced that there is no better company to be a product practitioner than Pluralsight.

Cons

As I reflect on my time here at Pluralsight there have been some frustrating moments. All of those frustrating moments though are the direct result of a company going through a hyper-growth period. Some of our processes aren't totally dialed etc. So we're not without challenges, but they are most definitely high quality problems to have.

Wow, this is so cool to hear. Love that the vision set by the leadership and autonomy to do the work is allowing you to perform at your best. I totally agree that scaling our processes and systems is something that will help as as we go through this growth, something that is a priority for the company. Thanks for your feedback and for your contribution to the company! - Anita

Pros

I have had an AMAZING experience working for Pluralsight. They highly value individual contribution to both company results and company culture. The culture is not just free food and ping pong, it's so much more than that. As a company, we are so dedicated to helping individual learners gain the technical skills they need to improve their lives and their earning potential. We talk about the impact of our work on individuals all the time, far less than we talk about the bottom line or the costs. It's just an incredible environment to work in.

Cons

The new commute from Davis County to South Jordan is a little bit of a bummer, but it's really the only con I can think of. The commute is worth it, no question.

Pros

I just hit the 4 month mark since I joined the Pluralsight team. At every turn, this has been an incredible experience for me. I had been in a totally different industry for many years (and happily, might I add), and so this career change was not easy for me. From the recruitment team, to the People and onborading team, to the those I work with every day -- I feel lucky to work with such inspired, talented, respectful, motivated people who truly believe in our mission of providing the best quality tech learning to EVERYONE (Pluralsight ONE is an incredible part of our org). The benefits package, perks, and offices are all unparalleled. This company (the leadership of this company) values its employees and they show it in ways that are meaningful both economically and motivationally. They invest in you as a whole person, not just an employee. Also, for an industry that is hurting in diversity -- it is great to work for a company that wants to lead the charge on creating a more diverse workplace AND industry. I truly believe that leadership is committed to this. As a women in tech, this is paramount. This alone really makes me want to grow my career here. If you want spend your day working (hard) towards a mission with hundreds of other like-minded people, if you want to be challenged, if you want to grow and be held accountable, if you want to be inspired and feel like you're a part of something meaningful, if you love change and can adapt -- Pluralsight is for you.

Cons

Not a con, but coming from smaller orgs, the size of Pluralsight takes some time to get used to. You will see people you have never seen -- everyday. However, it amazes me how connected everyone seems to feel, even when they have never met before. So many good vibes and connecting points built into a normal day to meet new people. When you get hired at Pluralsight, you gain 1,000 new friends!

Thank you for leaving this thoughtful review and for taking the leap to tech! As you mentioned, there is great work to be done as it relates to diversity and inclusion in the tech industry - we have an incredible opportunity to make a difference in this space within the industry as a whole. Looking forward to the work we’re doing inside of Pluralsight, here in Utah, and globally. Thanks for being here and for leaving this review! - Anita
