Pros

Some opportunities for education, although the reimbursement process is extremely tedious and leaves some staff getting permission for education taking a course and then being rejected later because they didn't fill out the necessary paperwork. This seems extremely unfair when they are being paid such low salaries as exercise specialists.

Cons

Difficult to recruit staff with low salaries. Constant turnover in upper management. Limited training upon being hired. Often the corporate client and the company have totally different goals and GM must and make them mesh together. Constant back stabbing from RVP, if RVP forgets a task or falls short GM will inevitably take the fall.

Pros

They give you educational stipends and opportunity for advancement into management. You can earn boosts in your base pay by completing extra projects. You get paid a considerable amount to teach Group Exercise classes.

Cons

Hours vary depending on the day. May not be able to take on as many personal training clients as you'd like due to other administration duties. This is because California limits the amount of hours you can work to 40 hours.
