      Good attorneys, erratic people managers

      Pros

      Polsinelli is full of incredibly talented, smart and committed attorneys. The firm provides incredible resources to support attorneys.

      Cons

      While not universally true, many of the firm’s attorneys (esp. some in the “old guard”) are paternalistic, territorial and, while giving lip service to change, really want to protect their books of business (and, therefore, compensation) at the expense of developing the next generation of firm leaders

      I learned a lot and genuinely enjoyed working there. It was a good experience and one I’ll take with me into every future endeavor.

      Cons

      Nothing specific to the firm, I just couldn’t envision a future for myself there.

      Perfect to learn and grow

      Pros

      Helped me to progress in my career as a lawyer. Ideal if you’re interested in learning and growing. You could definitely stay on long term if you wanted but I always knew my time here would be short but sweet so I could continue my education. Think of it as a training ground if nothing else.
