Pros

This company makes it a priority to care about employees, not only as a whole but individually as well. I have been employed here for 15 plus years and throughout my employment, I have always appreciated the recognition of my service, loyality and commitment to the work. Administration makes noticeable efforts to support and appreciate their employees as best as possible. I have never felt like I wouldn't be heard if I had concerns and I have always felt like I am an important part of the team, no matter what position I held. This company has a strong commitment to serving their clients as well as the staff they employ.

Cons

Being a large company spread through multiple counties, it is difficult to find opportunities to get everyone together as a whole. It can be a challenge for employees to participate in company activites if distance is an issue. I do however appreciate that the company continues to try to offer team building and company sponsered events outside of work. I hope we can see more of that.

Thank you for leaving us a review. At T.W. Ponessa & Associates we use a disciplinary structure in which employees are progressively addressed based on the severity of infractions. While school feedback is important and valuable, we address job performance concerns based on our company’s policies. We wish you the best of luck on your future endeavors. Thank you

Disappointment Ahead

Pros

I honestly do not have many positive thoughts regarding this company.

Cons

I feel extremely overworked, underpaid, and undervalued at this company. I get the impression others feel the same way as there is high turn over in my current position as well as others. I get this impression across departments too. Compensation is not adequate in comparison to job responsibilities/expectations. Benefits are terrible and most employees, including myself, are unable to afford them for even themselves let alone a spouse/family. Frequently, interactions with administration are negative. If an employee does their job well, it goes unrecognized and more is expected of you. However, if an employee makes even a minor mistake, you are ridiculed for it. This is extremely frustrating and degrading; particularly when you feel you always exceed the minimal expectations. You will frequently receive conflicting information from administrators, so you are wrong regardless of how you choose to handle a situation. I've also encountered circumstances where I felt I was instructed to do or not do something that a supervisor was engaging in themselves. These circumstances are frustrating and confusing for employees. In addition, there have been deadlines set that employees have been instructed to adhere to or they will not be permitted to continue work. However, employees who fail to meet the deadlines are allowed to continue their work. This feels unfair considering I have met the deadlines put in place, but there is no incentive for meeting the deadline and no penalty for failing to do so. Overall, the company does not seem to address employees in the same way in the same circumstances. Additionally, the conditions of the office are abysmal. Parking is impossible to locate. My vehicle was damaged by another employee and, despite signs stating cameras are monitoring the area, no help was provided. I was told the cameras were not actually functional and nothing could be done. Cockroaches and other bugs have been seen throughout the building. Floors and bathrooms are visibly unclean and frequently toilet paper/paper towels are unavailable. While not always working in the office, these are deterring nonetheless. Printers, copiers, and computers are also frequently unavailable due to malfunctions as well. During the winter months parking areas and sidewalks are extremely unsafe due to lack of clearing areas or salting. I have almost fallen and seriously injured myself on several occasions.

Thank you for the review, although we are disappointed to hear about some of your experiences. Our compensation is competitive and somewhat higher than what is offered in comparable positions by similar companies. We are able to offer employees full time hours and benefits, along with some great perks through our Perks Program, including tuition discounts, and these are things that comparable agencies do not always offer. While healthcare premiums may seem difficult for some to manage, we do our best to offer multiple plans to fit different needs; as well contribute to a portion of the employee's cost. Departments run incentive programs from time to time to acknowledge work that is well done. Additionally, exemplary employees are recognized in the company’s monthly newsletter. While meeting deadlines is part of one's job, we do our best to acknowledge those employees who go above and beyond and do a fantastic job. Staff morale is a high priority! If there are employees who are struggling with poor performance issues and they are not meeting deadlines, that is addressed privately and confidentially with the employee. Colleagues would not be privy to how supervisors address employee concerns. If an employee is ever feeling undervalued or unheard, they are encouraged to follow the chain of command that is established within each department. There are Administrators in place to help employees seek resolution to their concerns. This is very much encouraged! We can't help if we don't know there is a problem. We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review and we have shared your concerns with the management team. Thank you
