Pros

This is a job you will make money at. Their is no shortage of overtime. This is a union job.

Cons

There is no work-life balance. It is work-work-work. Overtime becomes mandatory 10-12 hrs/day, 6 days/week with little to no advance notice and that is even when there is no work!!! Schedule can change daily-including your shifts. Try making Appts. and whatnot under those constantly changing conditions. Management does not care about you at the least. All they care about is lining their pockets and making your life a miserable living hell!!!!!OH yeah, the Union, when you need /want them - they are never there for you. The company owns them also. What a joke!!!!! Say goodbye to your life as you know it - because it no longer exists!!! We have gone from the best job I ever had, to the worst job you can imagine. If you have a family, forget about them - because you will not see them again, but if you do you will be too tired and beat up to enjoy anything.

Pros

-Opportunities for overtime are abundant -Decent pay -Many locations around the world -I've met mostly good people -Vacation accrues quickly

Cons

-Lack of work/life balance -Takes decades to move up seniority list in some departments. Plan on working grave or swing for 10 years -Upper management constantly trying to undermine workers attempts to better their terms and conditions of work.
