The cost of working for PCC

Pros

Salaries are on par for new hire employees. Benefits are on par for the industry. Leader in what they do.

Cons

VERY toxic environment. Company is all about profits with no regard to employees. Goals are set high and can never be achieved as management will reset goals mid-stream. Employees are over worked and underappreciated. They will suck out your soul.

Pros

The company is turning around, however it still has some execution challenges. Overall It is a good company to work for. They are bringing in good leadership and will be a stable organization once they show they can execute to the customer. They have Long Term contracts in place with OEM companies which would provide some stabilization.

Cons

Benefits are not as good as other companies with such a large company. You would think now that they are owned by Berkshire Hathaway that they would be able to provide employees with top notch benefits. Risk is they will lose lots of good employees from other major companies in the area due to better benefits and better work life balance. Working Environment: Even though I know they are very safety conscious and have had EPA in the shop and approval from them, the ventilation systems in the shop buildings are not world class, there seems to be oil in the air and it could be hazardous and have long term effects. I experienced some issues while working in the machine shop floor.
