Most toxic work environment I have ever encountered.

Pros

Medical benefits were good, and that is honestly it.

Cons

Unethical business practices, CEO was vocally racist (said he didn't want any Black people appearing in stock photos on the website), compensation inadequate, I was expected to work overtime every single day with no overtime pay, I was told to ask coworkers for urine samples to do testing on, there was horrible communication between scientists and RAs, taking breaks got dirty looks, the "HR rep" was the CFO, exec's teenage children were brought on as interns and allowed to handle patient samples with no interview or application process. The 9 months that I worked here were genuinely the worst 9 months of my life, and I cannot emphasize enough how hostile and toxic the culture at this company is.

Pros

The general concepts of their platform are believable and exciting. There are some genuinely good people there.

Cons

The leadership from the top has no idea what they are doing. The top leadership refuses to listen to even very seasoned and successful industry people. Those individuals leave quickly for good reason. The strategic direction changes with the weather. I would agree with what a few other posts have articulated about the poor execution of the leadership in the organization and the HR "suggestion" that managers tell their employees to post every 6 months about how great the organization is because it looks bad on the organization when they have low marks. Pay attention to the low marks - there is truth there. Anyone who has been a part of very good organizations, this is not even close to an average organization. I would move on with your job search.

Truly Incompetent Leadership

Pros

There are absolutely no redeeming qualities about this company. However, they are predictable...even though numerous reviews provide similar feedback (poor communication, terrible leadership, constantly shifting corporate strategy, etc.) the company response is consistent -- we have received the feedback but it is not accurate. Way to be open and responsive to feedback leadership team!

Cons

Everything is micromanaged by the CEO or his crony #2, who also has the title of CEO. The #2 guy is a complete bully and probably the most incompetent person I have ever met. The #1 guy believes he is the hero that has been sent to save the healthcare globally, yet he does not know the most basic elements of running a successful business. These people are truly delusional.
