Pros

The company hires good hearted people drawn to the mission of helping schools and students. Great benefits and unlimited sick/vacation time for salaried employees. The company is always growing, changing and evolving and welcomes feedback so there is never a dull or stagnate moment. A day does not go by without collaboration or communication across departments.

Cons

Constant turn over with poorly defined systems and processes. The good processes are forgotten when the good leaders leave and the bad processes are not analyzed to determine why they didn't work. Years of technology debt are catching up. Company culture is growing less genuine. There was a time when the VPs made visits to schools the company served and they were able to see first hand what the provider and client experience was like. Aside from number in reports, the senior leadership in place now is not as in tune with the provider and client experience.

Pros

This is my third year working for PL. Love working from home, setting own schedule. Great support from everyone within the company. Best place I've worked that has collaboration with other professionals, including OT, Psych. The do a wonderful job of providing reimbursement for cross-licensing. Opportunity to move up in company. They offer free CEU's on a regular basis. Wonderful tech support. Overall good communication within the company.

Cons

Start up at the beginning of a school year can be slow-difficult when not salaried and managing finances with not many hours at the start. Was given the impression upon hire that benefits would eventually be offered-would still like to see that happen.

Pros

Vacation policy is a plus. Big focus on women advancing in their career.

Cons

Worst job I've ever had. I should have paid more attention to the reviews before starting the job.
