Pros

Some great people here, if you can find them by sorting through the cliques.

Cons

No career development, talent team will tell you anything to get you to go back to your seat and continue slaving away. No office space, shared cubes. Team managers guilt you for not staying until 9pm with them while they make three times your salary. Extremely high turnover. You'll leave here right where you began and want those years of your career back to use at a real company.

As a long-time employee, you have experienced our rapid growth and with that comes a lot of hard work. We are proud of the opportunities that have been created by this level of growth. I, personally, am excited to be graduating our first session of Emerging Leaders from our program designed to prepare these individuals for the next step in their career advancement. Additionally, the Talent and HR teams are working together with each department to establish career progressions for each role that include both a management and technical track so we aren't stifling the career growth of someone who is a strong SME but isn't interested in managing people. There are a lot of great opportunities for career growth and I encourage you to speak with your department head or me personally to understand the opportunities available to you. Great location, casual dress, good compensation at higher levels

Cons

Reality is quite different from the sales pitch. Insufficient resources. Work space.

Pros

I've waited to write a review until I felt I had enough time to judge the organization and I must say after spending more than a year at Privia I am still impressed and love where I work! - Incredibly smart and hard-working leadership and coworkers, who are also all extremely nice and easy to get along with - A great mission that truly drives everyone to give their all everyday - Merit based incentives - the company is growing so the opportunities for those that work hard and prove themselves are great! - Autonomy is encouraged across departments, I've never felt micro-managed. - Transfers inside of Privia from department to department are embraced - Headquarters location in Arlington is a great area and right off of the Metro - Casual dress - Free snacks

Cons

- Lack of structure - Career paths aren't always clear, and though this is an opportunity it can also be hard for those who value a lot of structure - A younger work force - if this matters to you - Parking in the Arlington area is fairly expensive - Longer hours are common - this is not required, but with the level of commitment everyone has to their job it's natural - This is NOT the place for people who want to skate by working a few hours a day and collect a paycheck. The A players flourish here, those who are not up to par won't last.
