Pros

ProHealth really has a community based feel - big enough to have specialities and the full cycle of services, but not so big that I'm just a number. Instead of waiting for someone to ask my opintion, I've joined committees on topics that I care about and feel my input matters. I really like not having to battle Milwaukee traffic/construction to get to work.

Cons

Healthcare in general is a challening area. If you are looking for an environment where nothing changes and you can keep bankers hours, health care is not for you. But it's one of the most rewardning areas to have a career and it will always be there if you are flexible and open to new things.

Pros

3 month orientation including mock visits in a home setting with mock patients that allows for ability to ask questions to educator during learning process. Great innovative idea. Very valuable! You are such an independent practitioner in the home environment, that you need a lot of training and support to be confident in this role. ProHealth Home Care gives that support with classroom setting, precepting, and the above mentioned mock visits.

Cons

Pay was not as equitable as it should've been a couple years ago, but now there was an equity increase and PHHC is competitive in the market. Good job in making a negative into a positive!
