      Good company but many growing pains

      Pros

      Co-workers and senior management were brilliant, welcoming, and interesting. The projects are fun and interesting. The leadership has innovative ideas about business and games, so it was a place I really wanted to be and watch grow. Holiday and Vacation pay are outstanding. Sign on bonus and other bonuses and stock for those who are there long enough. The people there including HR were truly kind and compassionate to employees.

      Cons

      It's a wonderful company but I think they need to work through how to handle remote workers and multiple time zones just a bit better. For example, group activities.

      Good at first, now should be avoided

      Pros

      High pay, generous PTO and flexibility. At first, cultural values were understood and respected by everyone I met at the company which sold me on the position.

      Cons

      Like many AAA studios, the leadership doesn't actually understand how games are built, but how to sell them. This has sealed my intentions that AAA studios are more broken than ever. I've worked at companies knowing aspects were toxic going in, but it is very disappointing that the company that was supposed to provide humane values and creative freedom is just as bad if not worse. I will work elsewhere in technology or only pursue indie projects in the future.
