Pros

Decent benefits and pay. Lots of opportunity for growth.

Cons

Despite being such a large organization, they very much act like it's high school. I was one of the top performers in the state when I left on good terms. After I left, I was sexually assaulted by my former supervisor and many employees witnessed it (it was at an after hours party that I was invited to by a friend who still worked there). When I tried to come back to the same position a few years later, I was rejected. I was told it was "competitive", despite the fact that they ended up hiring someone with zero experience over me. Why? Because the person who interviewed me witnessed the assault and is blaming the victim. The man who assaulted me continues to get promotions and do well at Progressive while I am told that I'm not good enough for a trainee position. Shame on you, Progressive.

Pros

Good benefits such as PTO.

Cons

Low pay compared to competitors. Convoluted system for managing the hours you worked. and very complicated if you have any medical issues such as FMLA. The system for internal hiring can also be a mess if you have been there a while and apply for a job outside of your area of work such as sales to HR. will ask for examples in your current position that relate to HR well good luck with that. Also Hype on metrics such as call length in sales if you sell most of your calls, but your call is to long well not good if your fast and sell a lot but don't get enough people to look into renters or home or buy another Product also you're not good. on top of that if you get all of that but are not using the proper word formula, they have for you well you are also not good enough. this is all from a sales perspective so other departments could be better. also, your schedule changes every year you have to bid. the whole company in your respective departments and ists done on a rating system of example 1-1000. and so, if you're not top 20 you just hope you are able to get the schedule you want.

Pros

- Hours can be good as many shifts for night is taken since after 9pm shifts you get additional pay. - Pay is good as well there is gainshare. - Equipment is all provided as well you work from home. - Some coworkers and managers are super supportive and friendly.

Cons

- There is plenty of vacation days though it is not stated when hired these days are used for holidays (including major ones), sick days, if you have technical difficulties for longer than 30 minutes. You as well hardly can take days off due to constant "Blitz" (high volume call days). - Little to no time between calls if you need to file anything, you are allowed only 2 seconds between calls. - The guidelines you must follow is frustrating to manage with calls as it is very specific and lengthy. - Have to constantly upsell other insurance to bundle to be on good standing for metrics.
