Pros

Only positive is that I saved on gas because it was remote 4 days a week and in office one day which was 7 min away from my house.

Cons

The demands and stress as a claims adjuster is off the charts. You're expected to operate as an experienced adjuster right out of trainers although they tell you it takes six months to a year to really learn and be proficient. You are graded on an unrealistic in expectation metric based performance system. You will definitely work overtime pretty much everyday to try and catch up which will still be hard to do. The female managers are moody and snappy, which doesn't make for good learning and growing. The most stressful job I ever had.

Toxic and Very Very Woke

Pros

Work from home is nice.

Cons

The work environment is very toxic, managers are always secretly watching you, listening into your calls, watching your screen, not telling you anything until your monthly meeting and then laying everything you have done wrong out there, scrutinizing even the smallest mishap and creating a log that follows you in your training portal. The systems are a joke, so riddled with bugs, constantly having issues, very slow, crashing all the time. There is no transparency with anything especially billing. Over half the calls are why the insurance went up and all you can do is speculate as to why as say things like its because of the state, or because costs are going up. Getting yelled at and not being able to do anything about it is a norm. There isn't a single day when you are not being yelled at. Training is no where near long enough for everything you need to know and it is constantly changing. There is an escalations line you can use for help, but your reviews and any possibility of a few cent increase are determined by how much you use them. So you are penalized if you need help. The stress and depression that comes from this company is no joke. On top of that, the pay is extremely low for the work you do. Call volume is so high, back to back to back calls from upset customers or condescending arrogant agents. Progressive is very woke. Be prepared to give your pronouns which is horribly awkward for everyone. White managers also displaying BLM shirts and talking in depth of it which also makes everyone uncomfortable. They give out cheap "gifts" every great once in a while which is nothing more than a tax write off and free advertising for them. This is to make you think they care all while paying low wages and horrible benefits. Be prepared to pay a lot for doctors visits and prescriptions. Many can't afford to see a doc because of their insurance, some have gone years. i would never recommend this company to anyone, anywhere.
