Pros

Pay is above average Coworkers are nice Corporate training was well structured

Cons

Workload is actually insane. You’re rushed through training and are thrown into claims. Supervisors aren’t trainers and expect you to know everything extremely fast. Questions are ignored. Getting claims every single day when you’re barely out of training. Often times you work through your lunch hour, and you’re expected to work some Saturday’s. On top of dealing with claims, you’re expected to answer 100 available calls outside of your own claim.

Pros

Very Inclusive. Coaching is frequent and ongoing. Plenty of room for growth within the company. The gainshare was wonderful, and the health benefits are nice as well.

Cons

They say they care about customers and customer service, but they really do not. You will be stuck in your current position unless you conform to their behavior standards. Meaning, if the position is not right for you and you do not achieve their goals you will get fired. They seem nice at first, but they expect perfection. Even if you are getting awards and recognitions, they will still rate you as an average employee. They value group think rather care about the individual. You can achieve every goal but one, and if you cannot achieve that one goal you will be terminated. Be warned that this organization holds employees responsible for literally ever second on the phone. They listen, and will expect you to "turn & burn" calls no matter what is happening with the customer or what that customer needs. You are expected to do the bare minimum and push everything else off onto another department.

Pros

For the few months we got to work on site it was pretty nice. The training and the on-boarding makes you feel welcome and like you are part of a team while they showcase their longer tenured team members to make you feel like there is a future there. I even liked the job. It feels like you are helping people and I've been in customer service before but in this job it felt different.

Cons

I lost an aunt and both of my grandmothers last year to covid and even though I tried to not let it affect my work, during a coaching session w my supervisor (after i won a contest for treatments offered over the weekend she was off ) scolded me for not offering other services to customers who were already struggling due to lay offs and furlough etc. When I broke down because even after improving she scolded me she said "oh, this is about something else isn't it?" Referring to me just explaining to her that my aunt had passed. I later reported this to HR who reported it to my supervisors supervisor who dragged it out for months only to not move me to another supervisor but force me to stay w the same lady who insulted me and my family's grief in a time of mourning instead of owning the fact that i was right. Over the next coming months I was bounced from one person to the other until the situation was just forgotten. last few months I wasn't making as much money as when I first started and when I asked why, I was told that my supervisor wasn't updating my time sheet when I was out of the office. So I just shrugged it off and continued like this for about 2 months. Then when I ask for a record of the amount of hours i had left they added an additional amount and refused to show me the records of where those hours came from. Over the winter I was diagnosed w Leukemia and started chemo treatments as well as regular blood transfusions and steriods to help w the treatment almost immediately. When I started my treatment I recieve an email saying I haven't responded to my supervisors email and I was being terminated. As good as they made the job seem it was a nightmare and one of the most toxic jobs I've ever had.
