Pros

There is not a single pro to working here. There are things that may seem like pros, but you end up finding out they are all lies or come with a catch.

Cons

-Unprofessional and scattered upper management. They do nothing. I had many issues with a particular supervisor attempting to make advances towards me and when I told upper management nothing was done. -Supervisors are nowhere to be found. You are supposed to go to these individuals for help, refunds, and basically everything else you don't have access to but they are never around or purposely ignoring you. -Lies about pay raises. I was offered a pay raise to add another department onto my work load and just found out that I never received the raise and the company will not give me back pay. -Impossible to bonus fully. The quality assurance department will be sure to find any little thing wrong with a call to prevent you from receiving your full bonus.

Pros

Great Business, enjoy my peers and the overall culture. Lot's of great pay and benefits. Many smart people and a lot of growth that allows for personal advancement and opportunity.

Cons

Management was awful. There was a lot of patting themselves on the back for a job well done and not enough recognition for the warriors that made it happen day in and day out with a lot of long hours. Several people swooped in at the last minute before becoming a public company and walked away with a big pay day that was not earned, they just rode the coat tails of those who really made it happen. Too many politics, not enough teamwork. I would say Progressive is successful DESPITE the management, not BECAUSE of the management. There are a couple departments worth investigating, but be thorough in your interviewing and talk to the employees with boots on the ground. Progressive is a good place to work, it could be a great place to work with true leadership.

Pros

The benefits are great. The pay is good (but yearly increases can be really hard to get). They put a lot of money into DEI and actually read and create plans around Pulse surveys. They really WANT to care about their employees.

Cons

No security. You are always worried you will be laid off. I wasn't there for long and the company went through 3 layoffs in under 2 years. You never feel safe. Your manager will tell you that you have nothing to worry about and 6 weeks later you are out the door. They do a lot of things to try to make employees feel valued, but when it comes down to it, you never feel like there is any loyalty to you. Also - There is a cult-like following of employees who love to call themselves "ProgFam" and talk about how amazing the company is and how much they care about employees. From my understanding, that was true with the last CEO but not anymore.
