Pros

This is one of the best companies i have worked for. The benefits are great, and everyone that you work with is super supportive, and helpful.

Cons

The pay does not match how challenging the job is. They did increase our lease incentive, but we are currently going into a slow time of year, so that doesn't help as much is if are hourly raise had been increased.

Pros

When I started working for this company I knew the importance of good benefits but I never thought I would need them, but some benefits are more than what are on your paystub. Earlier this year I became extremely sick and was hospitalized for several months. Our amazing health insurance has picked up the tab for EVERYTHING but what is amazing is my work family. My actual family is not in the area and most of the time was not able to be here for me, knowing this, with out me asking and no hesitation my team was there for me, taking me to doctors appointments, sitting with me in the hospital, and even helping me keep track of my disability insurance. Everyone here wanted me to just rest and get better, doing what ever they could to reduce my stress & worry. I would have home cooked meals brought to me on those days I was at home and calls and check ins to make sure I was getting better and had whatever I needed. People can say anything they want but it is their actions that show you who they really are. The actions of my fellow Prometheans have shown me how much I am cared for! This group of people are truly amazing and I am so blessed to call them my work family!

Cons

The only con is that we are not located closer to my family so I can be near them and still work for this amazing company.

Disappointing with diversity initiatives

Pros

I think the thought behind things is good, but the execution is lacking and it feels more like they're doing it to check the box.

Cons

I think it's more important than ever to have meaningful dialogue around diversity and inclusion, and to take actionable steps as an organization to be more open and anti-racist. Prometheus formed a Diversity and Inclusion team last year, and I was excited to see it. However, that excitement quickly dwindled when I saw the "work" this team was participating in. Instead of insightful workshops and conversations, this group sends out a less than inspired and meaningless email every heritage month with encouragement to watch diverse movies and read diverse books. Every time I get one of these emails, my stomach drops at just the complete lack of substance. Why even have a diversity team if their sole purpose is to send meaningless communications and call it a day? It's a waste of time. I feel like we could be doing so much more, and the lack of initiative just demonstrates diversity is not a priority for Prometheus. As a minority, it's deeply disappointing.

Prometheus Real Estate Group Response

Thank you for holding up a mirror. There was nothing easy to read about the words you shared. The Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging Committee is still in its infancy stages. We came together just over a year ago and are still finding our footing and the best path forward to produce impactful work in this space here at Prometheus. The DIB Committee has also taken this time to learn and become educated in how to show up for fellow Prometheans. It is important to us that this group feels equipped to handle all topics in this arena. Aside from the painful reminder that we have much to do in bringing DIB to life for our Prometheans, your note also opens another point of discussion – communication. We need to make sure our Prometheans feel comfortable coming to DIB, Promethean Services, reporting managers, and sharing this type of feedback in real-time. We would love to have an open conversation with you about where we have missed the mark and how you would like to see us get it right. Knowing that this is the first time we have received feedback of this nature tells us not only do we need to tighten up the actions and impact of DIB, but our overall open line of communication needs to be made more apparent. If you are open to chatting with us, your time would be most appreciated. Please reach out to DIB or Promethean Services directly, and we would be happy to have you bend our ear. We want you to feel seen and heard as a Promethean, but most importantly, as a person.
