Pros

interesting topics, variety of caller content, benefits are decent, big learning curve, two computer monitors, work/ life balance

Cons

micro-managed, very small office, phony "values" that are never implemented, stressful environment, no structured management, never know who is in charge or who to go to with issues, sink or swim mentality, a lot expected for little pay

Since the date of this review several positive changes have been implemented to correct the concerns addressed. Previously, our Support Center Manager was challenged to provide service to customers AND manage the team. Now, our current manager is able to devote her time to supporting our employees. We’ve also developed Team Lead positions which previously did not exist in the Support Center. This new structure gives our CE Experts multiple levels of support when needed. This year, a major focus is to infuse our values into every aspect of our business. Our values have always been important to us and now that our company is growing, it will be more important than ever that our team works together toward this goal.

Pros

I currently work with CE Broker's license verification service, EverCheck. A few pros: - Our benefits are outstanding. Our health coverage is great and it's super affordable. - Our monthly fitness stipend, our subsidized organic produce delivery, our organic green juices delivered to the office - they care about our health and wellness and it shows. - The office environment is great. We're just a few blocks away from the beach, close to all the best lunch spots, and the office itself is very "Silicon Valley" - open concept, light, airy, and fun. - There's a sense of autonomy. I've been given the resources I need to succeed, but ultimately they trust me to do the job I was hired to do. I'm not micromanaged, and as long as I produce strong, consistent results, my day to day is my own to craft as I see fit. - & more.

Cons

I've gained 5 pounds since I started working here, because there's always an influx of donuts, bagels, cupcakes, or other sweets that one of my coworkers brought in.

Pros

I worked as a customer service representative (CE Expert) -- it was pretty easy once you got the hang of everything... unfortunately, at the time, there was zero training program aside from sitting and listening in on calls + taking notes if you were enthusiastic.

Cons

The "small company" structure really stuck out when I worked for CE Broker. No one to talk to about internal issues with other co-workers (HR was mainly just used for paperwork at the time) also, everyone was so busy that there was no one to ask a question to if you got stuck, and having had no formal training (see PROS) or clear management structure at CE Broker, as a cust. serv. rep you're kind of left to just tread water until you can think of something to make the poor caller calm down while you research an answer.

I am very excited to say that we have a new Support Center manager who has been doing a fantastic job implementing positive changes since she joined our team. Not only has our new hire training process been fine tuned, but she has also developed ongoing training programs for continued growth for our CE Experts. In the past, the Support Center Manager had the challenging task of both providing service to our customers AND managing the team. Now, our current manager is able to devote her time to managing and supporting our employees. We’ve also developed Team Lead positions which previously did not exist in the Support Center. This new structure gives our CE Experts multiple levels of support when needed. Thankfully, our “small company” structure allows us the benefit of being able to have an open door policy for communication. Each person in the company has a direct link to our CEO and all other members of management. Our team here at CE Broker is better than ever and thanks to them, we continue to learn and improve every day! - Bonnie Cobb
