Pros

- Compared to organizations I've worked for in the past, Proton's product is the stickiest and most interesting to prospective buyers. As such, selling and talking about the product is energizing. - The leadership is young (which implies a lack of deep experience), but it's diverse in background and well-rounded all things considered. There is a high level of humility in the leadership team, a necessary quality to empower autonomous decision making. You will not feel like a cog in a wheel at Proton. - The company is bullish but lean. I gravitate towards high-growth startups that bias towards high-impact results with minimum inputs. That's not to say the leadership won't invest where investment is warranted. - The company doubled in revenue in my first 3 months (this is a non-trivial stat, as the company already had several active enterprise six-figure contracts in place), so I'm optimistic about a continued upward trajectory.

Cons

- Proton serves B2B distributors. Sound boring? It's not...it's a massive market that is ripe for vertical disruption. These folks are actively investing in digital transformation with a lot of budget to allocate, but admittedly it took me some time to get fired up about our audience and who we serve.

Pros

Proton is an small upstart team which means you have a lot of accountability and independence for what you are doing. This also means you're working directly with everyone within the company so there is absolutely no bureaucracy or management that gets in the way of doing your job. The team is very smart and hard working, to the point where I honestly feel like I'm learning a lot on the job. Its exciting to see the business grow perceptibly month to month. Compensation is good.

Cons

Current office setup is a shared space, which I don't prefer, but is comfortable for what it is.
