Pros

Easy-going environment with the chance to work with people directly from the field. Get advice and hands-on work with experiential learning opportunities. You can get great connections to help you excel in whatever career path you wish to pursue.

Cons

A lot of departments do not properly communicate with others, leading to dead ends or misinformation. Sometimes, a little bit of investigative work is required for doing seemingly simple tasks (like getting in touch with professors and departments who may have moved, etc.).
