good reputation, good infrastructure, big campus ample amount of collaborations, little commute
Cons
petty bureaucracy, underutilization of resources, over-staffed, inefficient operations, the town lacks diversity, religious undercurrent being pervasive in backdoor business dealings, staff in charge of running the research and academic aspects of the university operations instead of the faculty. no space in child care and limited quality child care options outside campus. school system is ok, should do much better for a university town though. little town 'perks' such as a lousy mall or no decent grocery store (need to drive to Indy for such things). Make sure that your spouse's employment is arranged before accepting your job. They will tell you jobs are plenty, but in fact, they are not. There is a saturation of highly skilled post-graduate work force and scarcity of jobs...
