Pros

Other than putting PwC on your resume, I really do not see any pros in working for PwC.

Cons

I felt I was continuously misled by management about career progression. I realize that staying at PeC was a waste of time. In addition I voiced the work that I wanted to do and did not get the opportunity to do that work. I had ten years of audit experience before joining PwC. I found myself on engagements doing entry level audit work. No growth at all! I hated that I left my former job to go to PwC. It's all about who you know regardless of how well you do your work.

Pros

Company does a great job of making employees feel appreciated whether it is a monthly free lunch or addressing social issues; PWC is top of the line in doing this

Cons

Manager did a horrible job of communicating and training. I worked internally for the firm and my manager was frequently late for 1 on 1 meetings, team meetings and was very unresponsive. Absolutely zero training was given to me and I was still held responsible for tasks that she herself did not train me on. After voicing my concerns, I not only felt that it got me no where but actually felt that the lack of "caring" increased. While the company as a whole is wonderful individual managers/directors aren't

Pros

- Great opportunity to get some serious marketing and sales/writing and editing experience on your resume - Prestige of name on your resume - They'll take a chance on you at entry-level because they can afford to - Cool perks - Decent benefits - Decent vacation - Flexible work options for some employees - Practices within the company and groups/teams within the company are so different in terms of how they work that your experience could be dramatically different if you make lateral moves into other groups (a plus because it's easier to make those switches once you're hired, and some are better than others)

Cons

- Culture will run you into the ground - Expectation is that you're available pretty much 24/7 - Although they talk a big game about work/life balance, the hours are ingrained in the culture and there is no way to differentiate employees who work 80 hrs a week vs. 40 - If you're in IFS, opportunities are limited and you are a second class citizen - Pay for proposal managers/ technical or proposal writers/editors is better other places
