Pros

Offices in many different cities, ability to transfer locations, some people have flexibility to work remotely

Cons

New management team led by Tim Ryan only cares about external PR, talking about how PwC values diversity, and promotes and hires according to that. However, he has placed terrible leadership under him, poor performers who are now being rewarded because they can check a box. People are trying to leave by the hundreds, I've seen a lot of resumes out there. Instability leads to poor company performance, which will lead to fewer jobs and no bonuses. If you are looking here, look at a smaller consulting / accounting firm with growth potential - much safer bet.

Pros

Every so often there is some really good work being done There are some fantastic people here, few and far between but when you find them stay close to them... like truly wonderful leaders but talking like one in six Its big enough that once you've cut your teeth (about two years in) you can keep jumping around

Cons

Mean to each other.. especially at leadership level, setting a horrific example Talk about of both sides of their mouths (e.g., there's a purpose statement that no one believes in but is still expected to tout) Highly political, and while most places are merit and good honest graft mean little if you get stuck with a mean spirited and cowardly boss (of which, unfortunately there are many here) Full acknowledgement that they are the lowest paying of the big four

Pros

Pros: - decent pay for Columbia area (but not great) - 3 weeks vacation and unlimited sick time - "flex" Fridays and work-life balance - non monetary career development - you'll gain lots of different skills while working here - getting PwC on your resume is huge

Cons

Cons: - pay is only based on the Columbia area, so many employees leave for higher paying jobs in larger cities - poor bonus structure. Less than 2% raise and bonus per year - the MD (Norm) has unrealistic and abstract expectations. It's his way or no way. - communication between project leaders (who are usually from core) and the Columbia leadership is nonexistent. Even if the project leaders think you do a great job, if Norm doesn't, you will not get a raise - reinvestment activities (which are basically extracurricular activities outside of 40 hours) are expected in order to get ahead. If you don't, you will just be "average" in Norm's mind and not get promoted
