Pros

- great pay - amazing benefits - smart coworkers - a lot of internal opportunities - creme de la creme client base - innovative and progressive - approachable partners - invest heavily in their people, especially the associates and seniors - hire a lot of people from industry (bringing in deep subject matter expertise)

Cons

- very political - the same smart coworkers and extremely competitive (don't really feel a "team" approach--at the manager plus level) - say they'll adjust your business dev goals (sales) based on utilization, not true - partners and leadership say there are paths other than partner, but firm still views those who aren't dead set on being partner as lower performers (despite the fact that they hire lots of people from industry whose end-all-be-all is not tied to being a partner)

Pros

Eligibe for time and a half overtime(great perk during busy season), Good benefits package, decent hours, flexibility with schedule.

Cons

401k matching is only 25% of your 6%. Hard to change processes that can easily be made more efficient.

Pros

Resources made available by PwC. The work is more interesting than many other groups, and you get exposure to valuation processes across many asset classes. In this regard, I think the exit opportunities this group can offer are specialized and sought after in private.

Cons

The PwC name doesn't help you much here as someone who would like to go into finance. This is not working in finance. This is mostly assisting with audits as they relate to valuation of the areas the group covers. The hours are terrible. The group is poorly run. There are few managers who know what they are doing, across offices, and they end up seemingly not caring about well-being of newer people because they're trying to crush all the work all the time. They are looking for new hires even at the senior and manager level because of the turnover. This is a churn and burn scenario. They claim positive culture but end of the day people are unhappy because it is underpaid, hardly a finance role, and everyone is intensely focused on chargeable hours and other BS metrics. PwC bonuses are no incentive.
