Pros

- Travel perks - Looks great on your resume - Learn a lot in the first couple of years there - Smart people - Compensation is better than other jobs but not as good as other consulting companies

Cons

- Hyper political: They don't even try to hide it, you need to curry favor to be promoted - Long hours - Pretty brutal travel schedule (up to 100% literally) - Stop learning after a couple of years - Some real egos

Pros

PwC is definitely a place where initiative and innovation are encouraged, if not always rewarded; you can't just wait for someone to hand you a map for building your career. Building your personal brand is a daily mission and informal coaching is embedded in the culture.

Cons

The structure of the US firm continues to undergo a great deal of change as PwC ramps up its consulting business and builds out its global delivery network. The politics across the lines of business and internal communication challenges across geographic boundaries sometimes get in the way of winning work.
