      Small efficient team making serious progress

      Pros

      -People. So far everyone at Pyka is extremely competent, fun, and respectful. They care about making products that improve lives. I look forward to seeing my coworkers every day! -Fast efficient progress. We test and learn as quickly as possible, without compromising on safety. -Work space/location. I live in SF and the reverse commute to West Oakland is awesome! -Work/life balance. There's a strong focus on "quality" over "quantity" of work. We work hard, but only for a reasonable number of hours.

      Cons

      -The true benefits of Pyka's technology won't be realized for years to come-- the speed of engineering+testing will very likely outpace the speed of regulatory acceptance.

      Pros

      The company is pretty small at this point so projects move pretty quickly which is exciting. It is very exciting to see rapid progression of hardware and software. Management is knowledgeable, reasonable, and open-minded. There is a strong culture of respect and learning/asking questions is highly encouraged. Leadership puts good emphasis in maintaining high moral - concerns are validated and we do fun company wide off-sites pretty frequently.

      Cons

      There are a lot of projects going on at once so sometimes things slip though the cracks.

      Pros

      Easy going and fun coworkers, and a healthy "work hard, play hard" mentality. There are a lot of chances to work on different aspect of the project and learn new skills, instead of being boxed into one position. Flexible hours, so making doctor and dentist appointments are simple. Management is direct and helpful, which helps the company and my career thrive. The project is exciting and new, everyday a different task and challenge.

      Cons

      Office is not climate controlled, so winter can get a chilly.
