Pros

The role offers a great deal of autonomy and is fully remote, which has been a significant benefit for me. If you value the flexibility of working from home, this is definitely a positive aspect of the job. The company also offers unlimited PTO, and my manager has been genuinely supportive, always willing to help however they can. Leadership does seem to care about employees, but the amount of organizational change over the past year has made it difficult for managers to provide the level of support they would like. In many cases, their hands are tied by decisions outside of their control. Overall, I wouldn't say this is a bad company. There are good people throughout the organization and some meaningful benefits. However, the pace of change, evolving processes, and operational challenges can make it a difficult company to navigate at times.

Cons

Commission is only paid out twice a year, and the targets can be challenging to achieve. The platform evolves rapidly, with new features and product updates being released on a constant basis. It can be difficult to stay current, especially since enablement and training are limited. In many cases, teams are only notified a few days before new functionality is rolled out to clients. Success in the role requires a significant amount of self-directed learning. There is often a lack of structured guidance, so you'll need to invest time outside of formal training to fully understand the platform and new releases. Having prior experience in Government Affairs is a major advantage. If you're new to the space, there is a steep learning curve—not only in understanding clients' workflows and priorities, but also in learning how to leverage the platform effectively. Because Quorum is highly configurable and not a one-size-fits-all solution, every client implementation can look very different. One of the more challenging aspects of the role is working across Professional Services and Support. Clients frequently express frustration with the support experience, and Account Managers often become the intermediary between clients and internal teams. This can result in spending a considerable amount of time on project management and issue coordination rather than focusing on strategic account management and client growth.

Pros

High degree of autonomy for those that are able to take it on and prove their abilities. There are some SUPER strong performers to learn from that have been with the company for 5+ years. The product has gotten super strong over the past couple of years with the smart inclusion of AI. The CEO has put the company in a really good financial position to take advantage of market conditions.

Cons

The acquisition of another advocacy tool left a bad taste in the mouth of a lot of advocacy practitioners, but the company has done right by them in the long run.
