Supportive, Collaborative, and Growing Company

Pros

A very supportive environment where management always looks for ways to keep you challenged and develop and achieve the goals that are most important to you. Company focused on outcomes internally and for the customer so can see the impact your work makes. Inclusive environment where you feel like your ideas are heard. Lots of cross collaboration. No dumb questions (really), not everyone understands the technical side, not everyone understands healthcare, but safe environment to learn from each other.

Cons

Normal growing pains of a startup, Growing fast, figuring out how to be more operationally efficient, keeping the culture enjoyed at the smaller stage. Good thing is management is very aware of this and is taking active steps before any of these are issues.

Dedicated people, fantastic culture

Pros

Qventus is still a small start up, but we've gotten our Series B and we're really growing. Through it all we've kept an awesome culture where everyone is welcome--no Silicon Valley weirdness whatsoever--and the company supports everyone in being as creative and curious as they want. I feel like my work really matters and I'm part of something much bigger than myself. We have lots of great team events, the office is a super friendly and collaborative place, and it's a really special place to work. I feel very lucky I found Qventus.

Cons

Getting bigger always has downsides--some growing pains, especially around figuring out cross-departmental communication. But management is committed to talking openly about problems and working with employees to fix things.

Oppressive Micro Management

Pros

Every individual at Qventus is passionate about changing the way healthcare operates. Hospitals and health systems are completely ineffective for providers and patients. If you want to work for a company that is making the healthcare experience better, than join Qventus.

Cons

It's interesting that the company expounds the virtues of decentralized decision making. They are the most micro managing, controlling management team I have ever worked for. Why hire people with amazing skills if you basically do not want them to think? You don't trust them. And, you want to do it yourself anyway? It's oppressive and demoralizing. Things never get done on time because, even with agreement, management wants to question, redo or just do it them self?

Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate it. First of all, thank you for your belief in our mission and potential. That means a lot. Secondly, I am sorry you haven’t felt the autonomy in doing your work. I appreciate your honest feedback regarding me and your experience with management. As you know, we have undergone a tremendous amount of growth; shifting from being deep in every area (which was needed as a small team) to leading others is a theme we plan to keep working on. Again, thank you for your candor - it allows us to improve collectively. Mudit
