A great place to learn, but has some big problems
Pros
I have learned so much in my time here. R/GA is filled with very smart individuals who are passionate, curious, and driven. I have been given numerous opportunities to advance my career in a short period of time, and I'm so thankful for that. However, I am one of the lucky ones. The pay is also good compared to other agencies, but we cannot compete against the big tech companies, which is where a lot of employees go after their time at R/GA.
Cons
This place will chew you up and spit you out, and there is a prevalent sink or swim mentality toward new hires. Turnover is extremely high, and needs to be seriously addressed. Executive leadership is running this place into the ground and it is a shell of its former self. Business decisions are extremely short-sighted and at odds with the company's employee vision. How can we create a more human future if we are working everyone to the bone and constantly cost-cutting + laying off our teams?
