Pros

Some nice people, some talented people, pays pretty well, huge agency so lots of room for movement and promotion, on the cutting edge of digital

Cons

Poorly organized, lack of centralized vision, departments are too siloed which results in lack of collaboration, land grab for billable hours so team members are discouraged from collaborating, only a handful of interesting accounts that get all of the attention in the agency, constant meetings (about 75% of the day is typical), running outside in the cold to get from one meeting to another

Pros

You will still find smart people to work and laugh with while you work on boring accounts.

Cons

If you really want to work at Digitas but don't want to leave the west side, then come to R/GA. It's being remade as Digitas West. Maybe Publicis will buy Interpublic and the transformation will be complete. Creative isn't as creative as it used to be, but it's probably being stifled by the accounts the agency has taken on. The brilliant, but quirky creatives that gave R/GA the reputation that still lingers, are a thing of the past. The company shows no loyalty to the people that helped build it. Creativity can't thrive in the current atmosphere.

Pros

Name recognition Access to high ranking individuals client side Good opportunity to find a mentor when starting out Talented people Work here for a little bit and watch your Linkedin blow up. Makes getting the job you really want easier. Good parties

Cons

It is no longer a design firm. Most decisions are driven by money and the integrity of everyone's work is suffering as a result. Lots of people competing for limited promotion spots. Senior management however, seems to be adding letters to their titles on a daily basis Not much of a challenge on retainer accounts. They tend to hire really smart people and make them do production work. A lot of creatives burn out quickly due to the assembly line nature of the place.
