Pros

Growing industry as we acquire different companies. We have every system known to mankind available for use. Good for people who want to just get by on the minimal amount of work and then retire.

Cons

Very political environment. Employees are not given a fair chance in some groups. There is also no clear direction from managers. No growth opportunities within the department and knowledge is becoming stale. The reward for doing good work is "more work". Management does not care to keep talent and spends most of the time gossipping

Pros

Though hard to find, there are some leaders who exist here who do have your best interest in mind, especially in terms of your personal and professional growth. This is also apparent in some of the opportunities provided like the Mentorship program.

Cons

As at most places, politics is pretty obvious when it happens, especially with promotions and the people who still work here.

Due to the nature of my work - working with the clients, I could work from home periodically.

Cons

I worked for one of the companies acquired by RR Donnelley. The acquisition process was rather difficult. No one ever knew what was happening and everything seemed to be in the limbo state for a while without any direction. While I was always working pretty hard and late hours, I never felt there was much appreciation.
