Pros

There are no good things about working for R1

Cons

R1 is a horrible company to work for. They have made mistakes on PTO, and Payroll nearly every time I have received a paycheck from them. They do not listen to their employees. They are so slow to help their employees when they have a problem. They are secretive about their ideas and plans and do not have any transparency. They do not value their employees or the jobs they do. They just want to make money and do not care how they do it. They have also had many legal problems in the past and have changed their name to avoid people knowing about it.

Pros

• Work life balance (Work from home and PTO)

Cons

• HIGH turnover including 3 CEOs in 3 years • No sense of organization or direction from management • Has money for happy hours, catering, mugs, etc., but not enough for US employee salaries • CEOs pocketing excessively high salaries resulting in shortcuts and cutting corners on the product (that's why it's been losing millions of dollars over the years) • Prefers to sacrifice top talent and outsource work to save an extra buck • Computers and software provided is cheap, dated, and decreases productivity

Pros

1. My Teammates were really good - I like them very much and most of them did halfway decent work. 2. Initially, the work was very interesting - regularly learning and discovering new things all the time and contributing in a meaningful way the company did business.

Cons

1. The company is being sold - made it hard to focus on the day-to-day with so much uncertainty. Also made it hard to keep people. Before I left, people were dropping like flies. 2. Many Executive Leaders Do Nothing to contribute to the firm - very few of them have the experience and capability to actually improve the output of their teams - Anger/Demands/Intimidation is just not leadership. Even fewer are able to keep your clients happy. The shame is, these are the same people that have been around for years. 3. Highest Level Executives seem to be doing a good job giving themselves millions in performance and retention bonuses (check Accretive's SEC filings) - at the same time Accretive is losing business and profits. While I understand this practice is commonplace, I would find it less offensive if they actually managed to turn the company around or improve the business. These people simply aren't trustworthy. 4. It's Basically Nortel Part 2 - looks like these guys didn't learn anything the first time - or they learned that a struggling company can be very personally profitable. 4. Customer Satisfaction is low - You promise the moon, but simply don't deliver it.
