Pros

-Big company and easy to get into to the door -Benefits

Cons

-Horrible managers -HR does not do a good job and sticks up for managers who abuse power and workers -The only way to Advance it to kiss up to managers and be a yes man -You get in trouble and they threaten to fire you when you point out flaw at the company - Pay in unbalanced people managers like het paid more than people they do not. -Managements idea of getting stuff done is to raise their voice and scream 4 letter words at you. -HR does nothing when you report stuff other then go to your manager who was most likely the person who did something. -I worked for CDI for over 7 years hoping for change but they went from one bad manager to another.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. All associates are welcome to bring concerns they have to their manager, Human Resources, our compliance committee, or report concerns anonymously via our compliance hotline. When concerns are brought forward, a formal investigation process is followed to ensure we address any concerns and maintain a professional and positive work environment for our associates, and appropriate follow-up occurs. Promotional opportunities are based on skills and abilities, not necessarily how long an associate has been in their role. Our managers are responsible for providing tools and resources to our associates so they can effective do their jobs, set expectations for our staff, and we do ask managers to hold our associates accountable to those expectations. We are doing important work here every day; patients count on our accuracy and service excellence, and we view our managers’ roles of ensuring that happens for every customer very important - so much so that we have established a leadership development program for every manager in the organization.

Pros

reasonable hours for mid-career professionals

Cons

no continuing education options, no development, senior leaders behave as if they are the only one who have new ideas, failure to delegate and develop successors, would not want to be an entry level corporate employee

Thanks for the review; we’d love to talk about what we’re doing in these areas. We provide our managers with internal leadership forums to enhance their leadership skills and get to know other leaders three times per year and provide all managers an opportunity to participate in regular hour-long webinars on supervisor related topics. In addition, we have an online learning path and two-day in-person training for all new managers, and a weekly manager blog article, and each department budgets dollars for job-specific training opportunities. We have also established a talent assessment process and provided ad-hoc coaching opportunities to a number of individuals. We have an online library of courses available to all associates to develop their soft-skills, and offer a tuition reimbursement program. As we’ve grown, it’s also created opportunities for our corporate staff, in 2014 over 20% of our job openings at our corporate office were filled with internal promotions.
