Pros

First, the overall vision of REEF Technology is to rid the urban landscape of as many unnecessary vehicles as possible - which is GREAT. The passion for this vision is alive in many of the corporate employees, making it easy to want to be there. And second, most of the individual employees are hard-working and ready to make a difference. Upward mobility is fairly easy, though this is due to the high turn-over. This is the most ethnically and racially diverse company for which I've worked and I absolutely loved that aspect.

Cons

The wages are LOW for most positions at and below the VP level and are standardized across the company instead of by location (a Sr. Associate in LA makes the same as a Sr. Associate in Dallas). They pay well under what you can expect for your experience and/or subsequent education. This company has been around for many years and has over 10,000 employees - though they do try to tout themselves as a "tech startup" to excuse their poor pay. The culture is exceedingly toxic (minus the small pockets smattered around the company) - you're expeted to put the company before anything, including family and your own personal and mental health. There are members of leadership that will verbally accost you, speak ill (or in my case, make fun of) other memebers of management or fellow employees. I was told I was "entitled" for being moved up into a position due to someone else leaving and asking for the equivalent pay (which I never received). The leadership in many cases have no idea which direction to go as the company shifts and pivots on an almost daily basis. This has left them with the inability to streamline processes or spearhead any projects that would catapult the company or deptartment forward. Lastly, the benefits package is laughable. Only 15 days (or 10 for associate & Sr. associate) of paid leave with no additional or differentiated sick time, all paid time off is "use or lose" only - so no way to stockpile any leave for a larger vacation, no paid paternity/maternity leave (only unpaid FMLA). They have a bonus structure which is probably where a lot of their money goes - paying out ridiculous bonuses (100% bonuses in some cases) to high level leadership that are already making $200k+. However, most associate/sr. associates/directors/VPs receive a very meager bonus anywhere between 7% - 20%.

Pros

Vision and dream is endless and building out a real life canvas for partners. Solving real complex issues. Great Brickell location. Bonus is not performance tied.

Cons

Morale priorities are changing every day thus leading to a poor culture. No work life balance and they hire people with no start up experience to normalize the workload. Feels like a boys club sometimes where people are scared to speak up for change. Strict salary bands.

Pros

Flexibility for remote employees is good

Cons

Chaotic management. Executives use fear, shame, and blame tactics. Lack of transparency. The total, obsessive focus on speed results in avoidable mistakes in every department, jeopardizing safety, quality, and profitability. Complex and opaque corporate structure. Constantly shifting priorities. Failing business model. Inherent level of dishonesty (this is not a technology company....) Don't buy the marketing material. Do your research. You should almost certainly stay away.
