Pros

Office is located in an area where there are lots of restaurant choices. Somewhat centrally located for an easy commute.

Cons

Very unprofessional, drama-inducing atmosphere. HR while having the opportunity to turn the image of this company around has not done so. They are in too tight with those who create the hostile environment and are not very objective. This company is run more like a family business than a professional engineering and architectural firm. Those in the "management" or administrative side of the business all have egos and each one feels they need an assistant. One of the "assistants" does puzzles most of the day in the lunchroom - if that gives you any indication of the expectations. Accountability is low on the professional side, projects run over budget and are not benchmarked or questioned. This is why equipment such as company trucks are not upgraded to better standards. Speaking of, look at the quality of the company vehicles, this can tell you a lot about a company. The owners and managers vehicles are newer and in better condition than those they provide to the workers who need them on a daily basis. People are shoved into spaces when new hires come on and the office itself is not updated. Carpet in a lunchroom is never a good idea and it's dirty.

Pros

Some upper management people are skilled, thoughtful, and competent. Some are petty, insular and worthless. Don't be afraid to release people, even if they "started" an office.

Cons

No work/life balance. No bonuses. You are discouraged from finishing your degree. Very little assistance from management. It's typical of the industry, despite the branding that they are different. I cannot speak about the Denver office, but the Greeley office needs a management change.

Pros

-ESOP: You will see a level of ownership with staff. They take pride in what they do and strive to do their best! Employees are encouraged to communicate ways RMG can be better and do better. -Communication: Managers are always willing to dialogue with you whether it be a project, how to be more efficient, or training. Also, with the size of the company, you are always a name and not a number. -Training: Many modules are available. The company is always looking at what else they can provide for their employees regarding safety, job-specific training, and even personal development. -Benefits: Besides being a 100% Employee-owned company, there are health benefits, a 401k, holiday pay, and PTO that is competitive (if not better) than other companies.

Cons

-There has been some growth in the last 10 years and that comes with growing pains. THE BENEFIT to that is we are all on the ground level to provide feedback to better our ESOP and shape the company's future. -Always food in the office. You may gain some weight but you do get to build comradery over breakfast.
