Pros

Good name for your resume if you're pursuing a career in real estate, rapidly expanding company, room for growth

Cons

No 401K match, "boys club" mentality with very few female or minority executives, micromanagement leads to extreme inefficiencies, low workplace morale

Pros

Only one 20 to 30 minutes away from my home, decent standardization of their contract documents.

Cons

This company breeds a hive mentality or people who lack free thought; Has an old supervisor that will throw you under the bus slightly prejudice (not well rounded when it comes to other cultures). This supervisor lied to me saying you will move up from central architect which is really tenant renovation to base buliding ground up work. Six much after I started the old supervisor said you know central architects never move on to be regional architects that rarely happens. This is the type of deceit I had to deal with.Office culture tends to be republican, heavily white, employees are rude to you unless you are the right arm of Scott Recler and his brother. When you start working they will say that your family blah, blah, blah. They really back bite each other during lunch especially when one from the group is missing, if you do not go to lunch with the group everyday you are seen as not being a people person even when you just want to read a book, Their is no tolerance for people with religious beliefs. Not much work is done by regional architects just bantering about code telling stories not dealing with work. Designers are weak, the few central architects are worked like dogs ("the call this a skeleton crew") have projects turned around in 2 to 3 days unless 50 to 60,000 square ft then a week is given for completion. I worked here for a year and a half; just as the recession set in I became sick and the let me go even though finished my 9 months doing good work. They are advertising that they want people persons don't believe the hype they just want clones of over privileged Long Island people they won't even say good morning to you unless you initiate it. Scott Recler is a tyrant I've heard in the conference room say insensitive things towards people or another culture. I would expect the rest of management to be no better. They expect you to leave your desk a small talk with everyone in the office while strictly adhering to their deadline. People person please they will get rid of you if the work is not completed point blank. Project manager and supers are just as bad

Pros

The executive team there are some of the most brilliant minds in the industry.

Cons

The culture there is a problem but the company seems to know it's an issue and is working on it. Unfortunately the company is losing a lot of talent in the meantime.
