Pros

Fast Paced Decent pay You will most likely always have OT. Watching the crew grow and advance in the company is very rewarding. Especially when you have been coaching them yourself. Paid Holidays

Cons

AS A SHIFT MANAGER: Want to take off? They are going to make you feel bad for it. Forget to clean ONE thing on the close? They will text you on your day off and chew you out. Your OM or GM don’t want to work a certain day of the week? They will not allow any other managers to take that day off. Have three people call out on a shift leaving you with 1 closer? Better not call anybody because they won’t come in. The Co-CEO is an alcoholic

Pros

8 Paid Holidays per year, Flexible Scheduling even as a manager, Easy to manage on good days, Can be really fun if you have a solid crew, Dedicated customers are extremely nice and pleasant to interact with, Benefits are excellent, Sense of pride when talking to people about where you work. Well organized restaurants (everything has a place and its the same no matter what location you go to). High standard of cleaning. Monthly bonus dependent upon bottom-line/EBITDAR

Cons

Depending on the restaurant, some of the upper management can be inept at their jobs. Culture of hiring external employees with no prior Cane's experience into positions of power and paying them more than what you are making as an internal employee with years of experience, Habitually make you "chase the cheese" if you want to move up in the company (e.g. do this for this many months and only then will we see about promoting you, then when it finally gets time for that they expect you to do even more before even considering moving forward), A lot of micro-managing from upper management, even if you are the most solid Shift Manager at your location. You are expected to go above and beyond every single shift, with no excuses or regard to how you might be feeling some days. If you are not someone driven by results/goals, the managing position at Raising Cane's will be a difficult position for you. Although benefits are solid, pay is not very competitive until you get into salaried positions. Absolutely no overtime unless your location is in dire need of help
